- The DCM in his early tenure as Medical Education Minister took steps to make Ramanagara a ‘Health City’ equipped with all necessary healthcare infrastructure. The city will be housing the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, a medical college and a centre of excellence.
- In the 2020 State budget, a proposal has been made to establish an “Electric Vehicles and Energy Storage Manufacturing Cluster” at the fifth stage of Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB) industrial area in the Harohalli taluk of Ramanagara district. A grant of Rs.10 crore is earmarked for this purpose.
- The state government made its administrative office at Kandhya Bhawan, Ramanagara District a dedicated Covid-19 referral hospital. Wipro GE Healthcare and its partner People to People Health Foundation (PPHF) partnered with the state government to support this hospital with 50 Isolation beds and an ICU comprising nine motorised beds.
- A covid-19 war-room was set up in Ramanagara. The war-room acts as an informative portal giving real-time updates on covid-19 related information like analysis of the infection, testing summary, as well as medical information.
